As part of the University Transformation, our team are working in partnership to make priority changes to the website to reflect the new model.   

What are we updating? 

As part of the work, we are collectively reviewing and making changes across the website to reflect the new operating model which takes effect 4th January 2022. 

Due to the range of changes, we’re unable to inform you of every detail, however we are focusing on critical updates which require CMS Admin access. Many areas have a change representative, so please refer to them for more information on updates. 

What to expect 

  • URL and title changes 
  • sites moving, or decommissioned 
  • navigation and menu updates. 

Notable changes 

  • College, ASSC and SHE sites decommissioned and redirected 
  • updates to Division names, Schools, Departments  
  • microsites decommissioned/consolidated 
  • changes to urls, titles. 
  • changes to microsite custodians. 

How can I help? 

  • If you have changed roles or will no longer be an editor, please let us know by submitting a Digital Marketing Request
  • Be aware of the changes that affect your area and factor this into your editing responsibilities. e.g. remove references to ASSC and SHE Colleges, update Department names, remove old documents. 
  • Update your site with the relevant transformation changes-and ensure you are linking via asset id. 
  • If your site is affected, members of the change team will be in touch. 

How can we help you? 

Let us know if you need transfomation related changes that need CMS administrator assistance.

This includes: 

  • moving pages 
  • updating URLs 
  • changing page titles 
  • updating CMS forms (simple) 
  • decommissioning pages/microsites. 

As usual, you are responsible for managing updates your web-text, documents, images, announcements and events. You can also download an inventory of your site

Divison and Research microsites

Please log a request under Category: Website, Request type: University Transformation request. We will assess and prioritise the requests and work with you to complete required changes. 

Current Students microsites

If you need Transformation related changes on your microsite (that require admin access) please email current.students.comms@latrobe.edu.au to make the Current Students Engagement Team aware in the first instance. 

Updates to our services 

From now and throughout January 2022, all new site builds and web redevelopment requests have paused – consultations will resume in early 2022.  

Updates to site custodians  

The following Internal engagement teams are the custodians of the following areas of the website: 

  • The Office of the Provost Engagement Team will manage Schools and Departments, Clinic microsites from 4 January 2022. Please contact provost.engagement@latrobe.edu.au 
  • The Current Students Engagement Team will manage the Current Students microsite, with the existing Current Students editors continuing to maintain content. 

These areas will work closely with the Website Operations team for CMS administrative support (when needed). 

We’ll continue to support editors for training and CMS administrative changes via the Marketing request system. 

Research Editors will continue to maintain content for their respective sites.
